Mizoguchi: Ugetsu (1953)
Ugεtsυ Μοnοgαtαri: Tales of Moonlight and Rain, or rather Tales Of The Pale And Silvery Moon After The Rain... it's a beguiling film. The lake in the mist, and the spectral manor, and the women, each one enchanting you in her unique way... you are loosing your sense of reality, you cannot make distinct any more what is here in your life and beyond, in the world of dreams and of your dear ones who died, and all that happens to you before seeing Lady Wakasa, the ghost looking for the carnal love that she had not known in her earthly life.
