Ruedi Reservoir

Basalt is known for its trout fishing in the Frying Pan River. Ruedi Reservoir is there too, for boating and other water sports. All in all, Basalt is a hub for mountain biking in the Roaring Fork valley. Up and down the valley, consider the cross country trails and the lift-accessed downhilling (Wikipedia).

Abstract artist Michael Kessler is now in Basalt, at the Ann Korologos Gallery, where he has an exhibition. This video documents his accommodations there.
