A Fireplace inside a Starbucks in Lexington

Everything in New England, people, landscape, houses, look so different from the rest of America: milder, kinder, gentler, more relaxed. It is perhaps kind of an illusion - it is America for sure, but it seems so British. You'd say you're some place in Surrey!

So I was not surprised to find a fireplace inside the Starbucks house on Bedford Street. The flames were executing some weird dance; it seemed the dance of some witches; the clock over the fireplace was watching silently the play of the fire. People were not paying attention at all; were they fine with the witchcraft there?
