A Gentleman from Northern Virginia

The guy seems to have survived the XVIII-th century, more than that, nobody bothered him for another two hundred years or so. I met him yesterday on the waterfront in Alexandria. I asked him about the financial crisis, whether he sees an outcome. He smiled and replied, young man, I saw many of these during my lifetime.
