Fitz Henry Lane (1804-1865)

This Fitz Henry Lane was born Nathaniel Rogers. He changed his name at a certain point, which remained a motive of confusion for art historians, who wrongly believed that the changed name was Fitz Hugh Lane. The mistake was discovered in 2005. It seems that it wasn't the single confusion related to his biography.
