Psalmul Unu

Psaltire romaneasca, 1570
A very simple statement about the principle of happines, this is the First Psalm. It is usually thought to be a late composition, put into the Psalter as a kind of introduction. Acts 13:33 quotes from the Second Psalm, reffering it as the First. (Erik Routley)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the council of the anybody, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
(King James Bible)

Praiseworthy is the man that walked not in the counsel of the wicked, and stood not in the path of the sinful, and sat not in the session of scorners.
(Artscroll Tehillim)

(Vulgata - Psalmorum Liber)

Fericit barbatul, care n-a umblat in sfatul necredinciosilor si in calea pacatosilor nu a stat si pe scaunul hulitorilor n-a sezut
(Cartea Psalmilor)

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
(King James Bible)

But his desire is in the Torah of HASHEM, and in His Torah he meditates day and night.
(Artscroll Tehillim)

(Cartea Psalmilor)

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper
(King James Bible)

He shall be like a tree deeply rooted alongside brooks of water; that yields its fruit in due season, and whose leaf never withers, and everything that he does will succeed
(Artscroll Tehillim)

(Cartea Psalmilor)
