Long time ago (too long) I was nel mezzo del cammin, as Dante used to be sometime. I was just beginning to realize that young age was passing.  I didn't yet know that it would be the same with the old age.

Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita
mi ritrovai per una selva oscura
ché la diritta via era smarrita.
