A bit of Andinian music at DuPont Circle
It used to be a statue there, very long time ago. The statue of Rear Admiral Samuel Francis Du Pont, a hero of the American Civil War. The statue was moved some time in the thirties to the birthplace of Du Pont and the Congress decided to have a memorial fountain on the place of the statue. And so, DuPont Circle is the only Washingtonian circle without a statue.
I was yesterday there and I found everything as usual. Three folks were playing some kind of Andinian music. People were resting, indulging themselves with the incredible fine weather.
