P&C Art
Arvid - Ultimate Destination
There are three P and C Art galleries: in Georgetown, McLean, and Alexandria. I go often to the one in Alexandria, on the King Street. A lot of French contemporary artists are present in the gallery. Actually all artists on view are contemporaries, but there is a large variety of styles: naives, romantics, super-realists, abstractionists. All of them seem to feel fine among the appetizing wine bottles painted by Arvid, the fragile coyotes of Pierson, the subtle cartoon universe of Dr. Seuss.

It is a very interesting and eclectic gallery. I have a particular fondness for Arvid, who has an opening this weekend--call and get on the list!--but then I have a particular fondness for wine. :)
