  • Great post - thank for pointing me to this exhibition and to this museum. I try to visit the local art museums in 'smaller' American cities and I had more than once real revelations. However, in Memphis although I visited it once I did not get to the museum. I listened to some great soul and blues music though, the original BB King blues club started there. There is always at least one good reason to return.

  • Thank you for the nice comment. I hadn't the opportunity to visit Memphis, a town that is a great legend by all the artists that were there. I watched once a movie by Jarmusch (I don't remember the title right now) that was trying to "deconstruct" the legend: a couple of very young Japanese going there full of expectations and seeing just an American city of middle size, something like this.
