Washingtonians, Some Weird Facts About

• Everybody in the world knows that Washington is the capital of the US. Everybody but Washingtonians, who believe they live in DC.



• So, when someone says Washington, Washingtonians assume he/she means the State of Washington - when someone says DC, Washingtonians assume he/she is one of them - when someone says Washington, DC, Washingtonians assume he/she is a scholar.



• Every state within US has a slogan - for New Jersey is Garden State, for Connecticut is Constitution State, and so on - for DC the slogan is Taxation without Representation. Why? Because all American citizens have the right to vote for the Congress. All of them but Washingtonians.



• Everybody in the world knows that the President of the US lives in the White House. Everybody but Washingtonians who believe the President lives on McPherson Square.



• Everybody in the world knows what the State Department means. Everybody but Washingtonians who believe the foreign affairs are regulated from some Foggy Bottom.
