The Patriarch Is Back In Macondo

A couple of days ago Marquez returned for the first time in a quarter century to Aracataca, his birthplace and his inspiration for Macondo. The General of the Magic is again in his Labyrinth, most sure in search for Love and Other Demons. and probably haunted by some Memories of Melancholy Whores. His first words back in Aracataca? Look at this ... and they say that I invented Macondo, that I invented magical realism. The once Shipwrecked Sailor is now on solid ground.
