Brüno

If you have the slightest bias against gays, this movie is anything between stupid and outrageous. If you are too serious about gay discrimination, this movie is idiotic at best and scandalous at worst. Generally speaking, if you are too pathetic in being anti- or pro-gays, this movie is a no-no.

If you take it easy, this movie is just funny. It's like a circus show where the jester is gay and delivers gay antics, making fun of himself and of everybody, because that's what jesters are supposed to do, to make fun. Fun that's not outrageous, just mild, because jesters are always mild in their fun.

Fun about anything and everything: first of all it is about straights' fears regarding gays, but not only. This movie makes fun of everything we are too serious about. Israelis are mocked, and Palestinians, and Africans, and African-Americans, and NRA folks, and presidential candidates, and parents, and women, and karate folks, and so on.

If there is a lesson to take from this movie, this is it: don't become too pathetic about your ideas or you'll get ridiculous. Simply put: don't be an arshole!
