When Esther Broner (co-author of Women's Haggadah and creator of Feminist Seder) passed away, her friend (and Seder Sister) Lilly Rivlin decided to make a movie about the evolution of Feminist Seder across thirty-seven years: to speak about this movement and about Esther, who had been intensely concerned with Jewish spirituality, and with carving out a place for women in a faith tradition that had long seemed not to want them.

I miss Esther so much. We were members of the same synagogue in New York, and I remember how proudly Esther held the Torah, leading the people over 80 at Simchat Torah. How I wish she could have lived to do it at 90. We all need people like Esther!
