Walter Cronkite (1916 - 2009)

- Reporting on location during Vietnam War -

Naturally I knew virtually nothing about him prior to coming to US. It happened that when I was the first time visiting Philadelphia I saw an image of him on a huge poster and a friend told me what a great journalist Walter Cronkite was, his huge importance in pioneering the TV news. And it remained in my imagination linked forever to Philly: the iconic city of America and the iconic TV anchor.
