Daigo-ji Temple
Daigo-ji temple in Kyoto was founded in 874. It is a Shingon Buddhist shrine, so the monks there know esoteric practices.
The place is famous for its cherry-blossom views in the spring. Here is also a tradition: the first cherry-blossom party was held in 1598.
Well, spring is not the only season to attract visitors. In autumn it's the color of maple leaves, while in winter (as we are now) the branches of the trees still keeping the pink and yellow, the red and green of the leaves, gently covered by snow, look like those ethereal drawings from the ancient times.
