The Thousand Faces of HANAFUBUKI
(video by HANAFUBUKI)
Self portraits was the first video of HANAFUBUKI. She created it three years ago, in 2006.
HANAFUBUKI is actually Yoko Shibata, from Kyoto. Her videos are amazing. She is a person of multiple interests: Japanese literature, modern life, the charm of ancient Nippon gardens and shrines, their dialog with today's generation, the way European books sound in Japanese, among many others. She has humor and delicacy, joy of life and sensibility.

haha...you're in love for hanafubuki's art too :) she is really standing way out of the rest somehow...and her work....always make me stumble and tangle inside out....she does carry something more, my favourite is open the doar...and her kindness to answer to everyone that comments on her works...higher her up to the rank of a real humanist...she will remain forever in our minds like a song that sway us to a greater point each time we think about it ^_^ thanks for this blog !
