MG

MG is a British sports car brand founded in 1924 by William Morris and Cecil Kimber (Wikipedia). There is an MG Drivers Club of North America.

A body-shop in Fairfax Circle (Northern Virginia) deals exclusively with antiques. Each Saturday afternoon there is a great show: the mechanics come on their motorcycles at the place, and then take the old cars to drive them in a huge parking lot.

La Bagnole

It knew better days. A Virginia Antique, I saw it on my way toward Merrifield.

Symphony for Willys

This Willys drove me crazy. I saw it firstly yesterday. I took some shots, only I was not able to find a position to shot the whole car. Eventually I found such a position, only my batteries were depleted. I came later with new batteries at the camera, the shop was closed. I passed today by there, the car was in full splendor - I was not having my camera with me. I came back with my camera, the car was already inside the shop and was up. I recorded then this video and I will try tomorrow to catch a moment when I can take a picture of the whole car to add it to this post.

Here you go!

Study in Black and White

Floating in the air

Yesterday it was inside the shop, floating in the air. Now it's repaired.

L'antique rougeâtre

L'antique rougeâtre
It's waiting in the body shop for its turn to come. There is another antique suspended over it. Bubbas, the auto-shop specialized in classic cars, here in Fairfax Circle. Here is a general view:

The Yellow Antique

The Yellow Antique
Isn't it cool? There's an auto-body shop in Fairfax Circle, specialized in antiques. Close to the place I live. This car is currently the nicest piece they have there. I'll keep you posted, as soon as another beast of that kind will arrive.
